Thank You!

April 8, 2010

I have been terrible about keeping up on our blog. I just get busy and put it off until I forget about it … until the middle of the night when I have GREAT ideas. Come morning… well, you know.

I recently had a total hip replacement. It has been a long time coming, believe me! I just wanted  to take the time to thank the people who have been so kind and have been so patient while I recover.

First, I want to thank my staff. Without them, I would have never been able to take off seven weeks to heal. Martine and Lori, thank you for grooming my personal clients’ dogs, some of who are a handful! To the bathing staff — Cassie, Harry, Kristin, and Donalee — your great work has not gone unnoticed. Brittany and Cassie held down the front area in a way that they knew I would approve of. Thanks, gals!

Next I want to thank all of my clients for putting up with so much while I continue to heal. I know things have been a little different with me out of the shop. I’ll be back in a few weeks, and we’ll get back on track.

I want to especially thank a few clients by name. These are the people who have followed me to place after place and have been through some pretty huge life changing events with me. Mary Brown, Karen Newsom, Jackie Grothe, Sue Raymond, Suzy and Jack Gakstatter, Buzz Dunn, Roger and Shelly Tragresser, Linda Helwig. There are so many more to name.   I have been grooming dogs for several of these people for more than 20 years. That’s a heck of a long time!!! I have made so many more friends since we opened the new shop four years ago. I certainly look forward to more.

Finally, there are no words to express the gratitude that I have for two people: Donna Gifford and her husband Rick Hemmitree, for without their help The Muttley Crew would never have happened.  They believed in me and my dream. Thank you again.
